Parrot Adoption

A Plea:

Have you ever considered adopting a parrot? Every day many, many parrots lose their homes. Some outlive their keepers. Some fly away and get lost. Very often people acquire a bird only to discover that it's a much larger responsibility than they had anticipated. Whatever the circumstance, and through no fault of their own these wonderful creatures suddenly have no place to live and no one to care for them.

Many of these parrots are fortunate enough to end up in a rescue/adoption program. Although they have different methods of operation, nearly all of these programs share the goal of finding good, qualified homes for these displaced birds.

Generally the cost of adopting a parrot is far less than buying one. You may be asked to pay an adoption fee to help cover costs or vet expenses. Usually the bird comes with a cage and toys, or the adoption group can help you locate these at far below their usual costs. Each group operates differently. Some adoptions are even free to qualified homes & some groups operate entirely on charitable donations.

Nothing in this world feels as good as an act of selfless kindness. When you adopt a homeless parrot, not only will you have the opportunity to understand this idea, but you'll have the chance to experience a friendship (if you're willing to earn it), and provide a happiness to another being that neither of you were expecting. This is what life is for!

Do you have what it takes to give another creature the love and care it's been hoping for?  -  If you think so please consider this noble choice.
